The crude mortality rate of infant was 0.215%(0.276% for male, 0.149% for female), and neonatal deaths accounted for 63.64% of infant deaths. In 2019, the crude mortality rate of urban residents increased with age(X2=201 771.752, P<0.05). The crude mortality rate and standardized mortality rate of males were higher than those of females. From 2003-2019, the crude mortality rate of urban residents increased with the change of years (X2=4 416.183, P<0.05), while the standardized mortality rate showed downward trend(X2=148.285, P<0.05). In 2019 the chronic non-communicable diseases were the leading cause of death among Shenyang urban residents, accounting for 82.65% of all deaths. The top three causes of death in sequence were heart disease, tumor and cerebrovascular disease, and the top five deaths of malignant tumors were lung cancer, colorectal cancer, liver cancer, stomach cancer and breast cancer.
