Abstract: Objective To explore the current situation and factors influencing the quality of life of pneumoconiosis patients in Yantai, and to provide a scientific basis for developing measures to improve the quality of life of pneumoconiosis patients. Methods A total of 300 cases of occupational pneumoconiosis diagnosed in Yantai City from 1949 to 2020 were stratified by disease duration as the case group and 600 cases of the general population with the same sex and age difference of less than 3 years were selected as the control group. The quality of life of the study subjects was evaluated by World Health Organization quality of life-bref(WHOQOL-BREF) and the St George's respiratory questionnaire(SGRQ),and the factors influencing the quality of life of pneumoconiosis patients were analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis. Results The total score of WHOQOL-BREF[MP25,P75)] in case group was 224.20(199.96,246.60)points,which was significantly lower than that in control group(P<0.05). The total score of SGRQ[MP25,P75)] was 137.30(109.70,186.50)points,which was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05 ). The negative influences on the quality of survival of pneumoconiosis patients were the number of pneumoconiosis comorbidities and other chronic diseases. The positive influences were central heating, personal monthly income and sleep time. Conclusions The quality of survival of pneumoconiosis patients in Yantai is significantly lower than that of the general population. Active prevention of pneumoconiosis comorbidities and other chronic diseases, improvement of patients' heating methods, income level and sleep status can effectively improve the survival quality of pneumoconiosis patients.
