Abstract: :The non-suicidal self-injury is a behavior in which an individual intentionally and repeatedly alters or injures individual body tissues without clear suicidal intent, causing some trauma. The adolescent population is at high risk of self-injury behaviors, and repeated self-injury behaviors can seriously endanger the physical and mental health level of adolescents. From an epidemiological perspective, the detection rate of non-suicidal self-injury behavior among domestic adolescents is generally higher than that in the West. The current treatment methods for non-suicidal self-injury mainly include psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy, and adolescent patients are encouraged to actively cooperate with the treatment in order to maximize the protection of adolescent physical and mental health and eliminate the negative effects of non-suicidal self-injury on adolescents. This paper summarizes the factors influencing non-suicidal self-injury in adolescents today and proposes effective measures and responses to prevent non-suicidal self-injury in adolescents in three aspects of society, family and school.
