Abstract: Objective To investigate the occupational commitment status of pediatric nurses and analyze the influencing factors. Methods From June to August 2021,a cross-sectional survey of 616 pediatric nurses in Guangdong Province was conducted with general basic data questionnaire, nurse occupational commitment scale and nursing work environment scale, and the data were analyzed. Results The total score of nursing work environment of 616 pediatric nurses was (112.55±22.91)points,and the total score of occupational commitment was (81.96±13.76)points. The dimension of emotional commitment had the highest score, while the opportunity commitment dimension had the lowest score, and 81.3% of nurses had moderate occupational commitment. The multiple linear regression showed marital status, recognition atmosphere in nursing work environment, basic guarantee, career development and adequate manpower were the main influencing factors of occupational commitment in pediatric nurses(all P<0.05),explaining 54.7% of the total variation. Conclusion The occupational commitment of pediatric nurses in Guangdong Province needs to be improved, and it is suggested that health institution managers should focus on unmarried pediatric nurses, pay attention to opportunity commitment of pediatric nurses, improve their salary, optimize position setting, create a positive incentive working atmosphere, assist nurses to do career development planning, clear career goals to improve the sense of belonging and occupational commitment of pediatric nurses.
