Analysis on epidemic characteristics of pulmonary tuberculosis in Binhai New District of Tianjin from 2016-2021

Abstract: Objective To provide basis for the formulation of prevention and control measures in the future by analyzing the epidemic characteristics of tuberculosis in Binhai New District of Tianjin from 2016 to 2021. Methods The statistical analysis was conducted on the epidemic situation data of tuberculosis in Binhai New Area from 2016 to 2021 in the tuberculosis information management system of Chinese disease prevention and control information system. Results From 2016 to 2021,there were 2 681 registered cases of pulmonary tuberculosis in Binhai New District of Tianjin. The average incidence rate was 20.86/100 000.The incidence in males was significantly higher than that in females. The incidence rates of the 15-<24 age group and the >65 age group were relatively high. The occupation distribution was dominated by housework and unemployment(30.02%). The positive rate of etiology had increased year by year,in which the proportion of positive molecular biology had increased from 0.94% in 2016 to 88.86%. The source of patients was mainly due to illness(86.26%),followed by referral(24.67%). 50.58% of patients had delayed. Conclusion The incidence rate of tuberculosis in Binhai New District has generally shown a Growth trend from 2016 to 2021,and it is necessary to pay attention to students and the elderly,strengthen the screening of key groups,strengthen the publicity of tuberculosis knowledge,improve the level of public awareness,early detection,early treatment,and reduce the risk of transmission.
