Abstract: In recent years,chronic multimorbidity has intensified with the continuous socio-economic development and increase in life expectancy of the population,placing a heavy burden on individuals and their families,as well as on the health care system and society as a whole,and has become a public health problem that urgently needs to be addressed on a global scale. The occurrence and development of multimorbidity are often the result of multiple factors,and a full understanding of their risk factors is important for promoting health management,improving clinical decision-making,optimizing healthcare resource allocation,and developing public health strategies. Therefore,this paper summarizes relevant studies from home and abroad to review the risk factors associated with chronic multimorbidity from four aspects：sociodemographic characteristics,lifestyle,socioeconomic status,and disease factors,in order to provide a basis for their comprehensive prevention and control.
