Abstract:

Objective To investigate the current situation of disease susceptibility perception disease among rural elderly in Hunan Province and analyze its influencing factors,in order to provide a reference basis for reducing disease susceptibility perception and promoting healthy aging among the elderly. Methods From July to August 2024,410 elderly people from six rural areas in Hunan Province were selected by using the convenience sampling method as the research objects. They were investigated by the general information questionnaire, disease susceptibility perception scale, living space limitation scale and wisdom-based well-being scale. The multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of disease susceptibility perception among rural elderly people. Results The score[MP25P75)] of disease susceptibility perception of 410 rural elderly people in Hunan Province was 39.00(33.00,50.25)points. There was a negative correlation between disease susceptibility perception and wisdom-basedwell-being(r=-0.699,P<0.01). The multiple linear regression analysis showed that age, health status in the past six months, limited living space and wisdom-based well-being were the influencing factors of disease susceptibility perception(all P<0.05),explaining 56.9% of the total variation. Conclusions The disease susceptibility perception of 410 rural elderly people in Hunan Province is at a moderately low level, affected by age, health status in the past six months, limited living space and wisdom-based well-being. It is suggested that medical workers should take relevant measures to reduce the level of disease susceptibility perception among the elderly.
