Abstract: Objective To understand the awareness of public health knowledge(including personal health behaviors and related health knowledge) among hotel employees in Tianjin, analyze the influencing factors, and provide scientific basis for strengthening public place hygiene management and promoting the health of employees. Methods In 2023,a random sampling method was used to select hotel employees in Tianjin to conduct a questionnaire survey and summarize the analysis. The questionnaire content included basic personal information of employees, personal health behaviors, and knowledge of hygiene. Results A total of 773 employees from 73 hotels in Tianjin were selected, and 773 valid questionnaires were obtained. The overall awareness rates of personal health behaviors and industry related health knowledge among employees were 80.21% and 92.24% respectively. Among them, there were statistically significant differences in the awareness rates of personal health behavior among employees of different ages, educational levels, and years of employment( χ2=27.203,12.627,23.674,all P<0.05). Conclusion The awareness of public health knowledge among hotel employees in Tianjin is relatively good. It is necessary to continue to strengthen health education and promotion among employees, especially focusing on providing health education to employees in the younger age group, with shorter working years and lower educational levels,in order to improve the overall level of public health knowledge among employees in public places.
