The workplace violence and occupational stress of 18 emergency department nurses were positively correlated with occupational burnout(r=0.608,0.582,both P<0.01),and workplace violence was positively correlated with occupational stress(r=0.512,P<0.01). The occupational stress played a partial mediating role between workplace violence and occupational burnout in 18 emergency department nurses, the mediating effect was 0.231,accounting for 41.70% of the total effect.
