Abstract:

Through active and effective scientific prevention and control measures, the epidemic situation in China has been basically under control. During Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19) epidemic, the Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University, as one of the first treatment units in large-scale tertiary general hospitals of Wuhan, fought the epidemic comprehensively. The fever clinic became the first bastion for the treatment of COVID-19 patients in the whole hospital, and assumed the functions of screening and classification of COVID-19 patients and emergency treatment during the epidemic. Faced with this novel emergent infectious disease, nurses, as the group that has the closest contact with patients in medical activities, are at risk of directly or indirectly touching novel coronavirus pathogens. In the light of the route of transmission of the COVID-19 and susceptible link, according to the equipment, personnel and operation status of the fever clinics, the targeted management measures are taken from the environmental layout and division management, strengthening the protection and management of disinfection, reasonable allocation of nursing staff, material support, and strengthening personnel training, so as to reduce the occupational exposure hazards to fever clinic nurses, actively prevent the occurrence of occupational exposure, and safeguard the health of nursing staff
