Objective To understand the content of mercury in common freshwater fish and snails in aquatic products from the tributaries of Yongjiang in Guangxi, and to evaluate the health risks. Methods From August to December 2024,461 samples of 10 species of freshwater fish and snail were collected from two tributaries of the Yongjiang river in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The mercury content in the edible parts of aquatic products was determined using the direct mercury analyzer method. The pollution level and health risk were evaluated using the single factor pollution index method and target hazard quotient, and the correlation analysis between mercury content and weight in some fish species was conducted. Results The highest content of mercury among the 11 aquatic products from the Yongjiang in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was topmouth culter, but the mercury content in all aquatic products did not exceed the standard. The single pollution index showed that 4.4% of silver carps and 100.0% of topmouth culters were mildly polluted by mercury, while the rest of the fish species were at normal background levels. The health risk assessment results indicate that the target hazard quotient for topmouth culters was greater than 1,while the target hazard quotients for the other ten types of aquatic products were less than 1. According to correlation analysis,it was found that there was a significant correlation between the levels of mercury and weight in the dorsal muscles of silver carp and mirror carp. Conclusion All aquatic products sourced from Yongjiang in Guangxi in this collected samples exhibited no instances of mercury exceeding safe limits, with the mercury contamination in the samples remaining at a relatively low level. With the exception of carnivorous fish like the predatory carp, the prolonged consumption of the remaining ten species of aquatic products from Yongjiang in Guangxi poses no significant risk to human health.

The prevalence and risk factors of work-related musculoskeletal disorders(WMSDs) have been extensively studied. However, research conclusions on the association between prolonged sitting/standing work and WMSDs are inconsistent, necessitating further analysis. This article summarizes the results of multi-factor logistic regression studies on the risks of prolonged sitting/the protective effects of prolonged standing, the protective effects of prolonged sitting/the risks of prolonged standing, and the lack of findings indicating that prolonged sitting/prolonged standing are influencing factors. Although most studies report negative results, prolonged sitting is more likely to be a risk factor for neck and shoulder WMSDs,while prolonged standing is more likely to be a risk factor for lower limb WMSDs. Therefore,it is essential to strengthen health protection for specific body regions among occupational groups with prolonged sitting/standing based on industry/job characteristics to curb the prevalence of WMSDs.

Pneumoconiosis is one of the serious occupational diseases in China, which is a systemic disease mainly caused by diffuse fibrosis of lung tissue due to long-term inhalation of large amounts of dust. Pneumoconiosis often does not have obvious symptoms and signs in the early stages, but as the condition progresses, the emergence of complications worsens the condition, seriously damaging the physical and mental health of patients and exacerbating their economic burden. The "Chinese Expert Consensus on the Treatment of Pneumoconiosis(2021 Edition)" points out that patients with pneumoconiosis generally face obstacles in terms of exercise ability, physical function, respiratory ability,as well as psychological and social adaptation ability during the continuous treatment process. By adopting appropriate rehabilitation intervention plans and integrating them into the daily life of patients,long-term adherence to implementation will effectively improve the quality of life of patients, enabling them to better return and adapt to society. At present, the main treatment methods for pulmonary rehabilitation in clinical practice include respiratory training, respiratory muscle training, traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation, psychological intervention, exercise rehabilitation treatment, health education, etc. This article summarizes the research progress of the main rehabilitation strategies for pneumoconiosis and provides suggestions for future development.
