Correlation study on professional burnout,professional identity and career success of clinical pharmacists in grade-A tertiary hospitals in Nanchang City

Abstract: Objective To explore the status quo of professional burnout,professional identity and career success among clinical pharmacists in grade-A tertiary hospitals in Nanchang City,and to analyze the correlation between them. Methods From December 2021 to April 2022,a convenience sampling was used to conduct a questionnaire survey among clinical pharmacists in a grade-A tertiary hospital in Nanchang City,including general information,professional burnout,professional identity and career success. Results The professional burnout A score of 141 clinical pharmacists was (37.73±9.46)points,and the professional burnout B score was (23.05±6.66)points. The professional identity score was (87.52±13.44)points,and the career success score was (32.95±5.66)points. Professional burnout A was negatively correlated with professional identity,career success and various dimensions(all P<0.01). Professional burnout B was positively correlated with professional identity,career success and various dimensions(all P<0.01). The results of multivariate analysis showed that age,gender,professional identity and career success were the main influencing factors of professional burnout(P<0.01). Conclusion Managers of clinical departments should pay attention to the professional burnout of clinical pharmacists,and adjust their job burnout and improve their work quality by enhancing their professional identity,career success and other aspects.
