Analysis on current situation and influencing factors of perceived stress among employees in Tianjin Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the current situation and influencing factors of perceived stress among employees in Tianjin Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC),provide evidences for improving the physical and mental health of CDC staff. Methods From November 23,2021 to February 28,2022,the staff of Tianjin CDC were selected as the research subjects. The perceived stress level was investigated by electronic questionnaire of Chinese perceived stress scale(CPSS),and the data were analyzed. Results A total of 365 valid questionnaires were obtained,the median of overall perceived stress score was 25.00(18.00,31.00)points,among which 178 cases(48.8%) had high perceived stress. The perceived stress level of district units[26.00(20.00, 31.00)points] was higher than that of municipal units[24.00(18.00,29.00)points]. The long overtime hours and poor health status were the risk factors for high perceived stress level of the staff of CDC. Conclusion The perceived stress level of Tianjin CDC staff is generally high,the perceived stress level of district units is higher than that of municipal units,and overtime hours and health conditions are the main factors affecting the occurrence of high perceived stress.
