Abstract: Objective To discuss the effects of ionizing radiation on peripheral blood, biochemical indexes, lymphocyte micronucleus and chromosome of radiologists. Methods A total of 137 radiologists who underwent four consecutive occupational health examinations in 2014,2016,2018 and 2020 were selected as the radiation group, and 137 health examiners of the same age and sex with no radiation exposure history were selected as the control group. Their peripheral blood white blood cells(WBC),lymphocytes(LYM),platelets(PLT),alanineaminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),serum creatinine(Scr),fasting blood glucose(FBG),lymphocyte micronucleus and chromosomal examination results were analyzed. Results The WBC count of radiation group in 2020(6.15±1.42),2018(6.26±1.38) and 2016(6.13±1.36) was lower than that of control group(6.59±1.18)(all P<0.05). The PLT count of radiation group in 2018(223.39±50.18),2016(221.68±49.82) and 2014(228.53±49.95) was lower than that of control group(242.47±54.39)(all P<0.05). The micronucleus rate of lymphocytes in radiation group in 2018[(0.66±0.90)‰] and 2016[(1.17±1.25)‰] was higher than that in control group[(0.41±0.77)‰],and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05). The number of chromosomal abnormalities in radiologists working in the same compartment was higher than that in those working in the other compartment, and the difference between 2020 and 2018 was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The ionizing radiation has a certain effect on the blood indexes of radiologists,so it is necessary to strengthen the continuous monitoring of the chromosome of radiologists working in the same compartment.
