Abstract: Objective To investigate the current status and influencing factors of feedback seeking behavior of newly recruited nurses in Tianjin, analyze its relationship with hospital magnetic level and professional identity, further explore the mediating role of professional identity between hospital magnetic level and feedback seeking behavior,so as to provide reference for managers to formulate intervention measures to promote feedback seeking behavior of newly recruited nurses. Methods A total of 306 newly recruited nurses from six hospitals in Tianjin were selected by using convenience sampling from January to July 2022. The general information questionnaire, essentials of magnetism scale(EOM),professional identity scale(PIS) and feedback seeking behavior scale(FSBS) were used for questionnaire survey, and the data were analyzed. Results The total scores of feedback seeking behavior, hospital magnetic level and professional identity of newly recruited nurses were (42.14±15.05),(111.60±28.29) and (89.03±24.46)points,respectively. The total score of feedback seeking behavior of newly recruited nurses was positively correlated with the hospital magnetic level, the total score of professional identity and the scores of each dimension(r=0.582-0.766,all P<0.01). The education background, attitude to nursing work, hospital magnetic level and professional identity were the main influencing factors of feedback seeking behavior. And professional identity played a partial mediating role between hospital magnetic level and feedback seeking behavior, with the mediating effect of 39.8%(P<0.01). Conclusions The feedback seeking behavior, hospital magnetic level and professional identity of newly recruited nurses from six hospitals in Tianjin are at the middle level. It is suggested that nursing managers should pay attention to the influence of hospital magnetic environment and professional identity on feedback seeking behavior, actively carry out the establishment of magnetic hospitals, and promote the feedback seeking behavior of newly recruited nurses by improving hospital magnetic level and professional identity,so as to promote their professional development and improve the quality of nursing.
