Construction of competency evaluation index system for medical nursing assistants

Abstract: Objective To construct the competency evaluation index system for medical nursing assistants in China. Methods Based on literature analysis,open questionnaire and semi-structured interview,the competency evaluation index system for medical nursing assistants was initially formulated. 21 experts were consulted by Delphi method in September-November 2021,and the index weight was calculated by analytic hierarchy process. Results The effective questionnaire recovery rates of the two rounds of expert consultation was 80.77% and 100.00%,the expert authority coefficient was 0.914 and 0.912 respectively,and the Kendall coefficient was 0.134-0.341(P<0.01),forming the competency evaluation index system including 5 first-level indexes,14 second-level indexes and 56 third-level indexes. The weights of the five first-level indexes of theoretical knowledge,operational skills,social ability,professional attitude and personal characteristics were 0.108 2,0.388 8,0.166 3,0.269 2 and 0.067 5,respectively. Conclusion The competency evaluation index system for medical nursing assistants is relatively scientific and reliable,which can provide reference for the training,assessment and evaluation of medical nursing assistants.
