Research progress on post-traumatic growth of nurses

Abstract: Nurses often experience or witness trauma in the workplace,and the pressure they face at work will exacerbate the related effects of trauma. In this process,the positive psychological change that nurses produce is post-traumatic growth. The level of post-traumatic growth affects the physical and mental health of nurses and the completion of their work. Understanding the post-traumatic growth of nursing professionals can guide interventions to improve professional well-being. This article reviews the concept,present situation and assessment tools of nurses' post-traumatic growth,and introduces the influencing factors of nurses' alternative trauma and interventions to improve post-traumatic growth,so as to improve the attention of nursing managers to the post-traumatic growth of nurses and provide reference for relevant research.
