Abstract: Due to the particularity of nursing work, shift work is inevitable in nursing work, and it has been proven to be closely related to circadian rhythm disorders. Social jetlag is the difference between endogenous circadian rhythms and social rhythms, and is a novel indicator reflecting chronic circadian rhythm disorders. Research has shown that social jetlag is widely present among shift workers, and there is a correlation between social jetlag and various adverse health outcomes. However, there is currently a lack of research on the social jetlag of shift nursing staff, and the attention of nursing managers is not good. This paper briefly describes the concept, measurement tools, and epidemic situation of social jetlag among shift nursing staff, and expounds the impact and possible mechanisms of social jetlag on the health of shift nursing staff, providing a theoretical basis for solving the problem of social jetlag among shift nursing staff and promoting their health and well-being.
