Abstract: Objective To investigate the status quo of professional self-concept,self-disclosure and self-harmony among nurses in 4 traditional Chinese medicine hospitals in Shaanxi Province and analyze the influencing factors. Methods A total of 574 nurses from different departments of 4 hospitals of traditional Chinese medicine in Shaanxi Province(Shaanxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Xi'an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Yan'an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Yulin Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine) were selected as the research objects by convenience sampling method from March to August 2023. General information questionnaire, professional self-concept of nurses instrument(PSCNI),distress disclosure index(DDI) and self consistency and congruence(SCCS) were used to investigate, and the data were analyzed. Results The total scores of PSCNI,DDI and SCCS were (89.88±13.08),(39.90±6.38) and (109.40±13.99)points,respectively. PSCNI was positively correlated with DDI and SCCS(r=0.453,0.232,both P<0.01),and DDI was positively correlated with SCCS(r=0.492,P<0.01). Professional title, average monthly income and PSCNI were the main influencing factors of self-disclosure of nurses in 4 traditional Chinese medicine hospitals(all P<0.05). Conclusions The self-disclosure of nurses in 4 traditional Chinese medicine hospitals in Shaanxi Province is in the middle level and needs to be further improved. It is suggested that the hospital should increase verbal or group communication activities, listen to the inner needs of nurses, solve their own problems, and expand the development space of nurses,so as to improve the level of self-disclosure of nurses in hospitals of traditional Chinese medicine.
