Research progress on occupational exposure and protection of hazardous drugs among medical personnel

Abstract

Abstract: Occupational exposure to hazardous drugs among certain medical personnel during their work processes has drawn considerable attention due to resulting health risks. The impact of hazardous drugs on the health of healthcare workers includes but are not limited to increased cancer risk and adverse reproductive outcomes. Therefore,this paper summarizes the research progress on occupational exposure and protection of hazardous drugs for medical personnel,mainly including occupational exposure pathways,monitoring of occupational exposure risks,the impact of hazardous drugs on health,occupational safety protection measures,barriers in the safe handling of hazardous drugs,and policies for the occupational exposure safety management of hazardous drugs,in order to provide reference for the future development of hazardous drug protection research.
