Abstract: Frailty has evolved from a single emphasis on physical frailty to a more comprehensive multidimensional concept encompasses physical frailty, psychological frailty, cognitive frailty, social frailty, and environmental frailty. This article provides a review of five dimensions:physical condition, psychological condition, cognitive ability, social support, and home environment, and introduces the assessment scales that can be used for multidimensional elderly patients with frailty in the current study. By comparing and analyzing the basic characteristics and application of various scales, medical staff can use this as a reference to select appropriate scales for evaluating elderly patients with frailty.
