Abstract: Objective To understand the current situation of anxiety among medical nursing staff in Chengdu, analyze the main factors affecting the anxiety of nurses, and provide countermeasures and suggestions for further improving the quality of elderly care. Methods In June 2023,a self-made questionnaire and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) were used to survey 393 medical and nursing staff in medical and elderly care institutions in Chengdu, and the data were analyzed. Results There were 393 medical nursing staff, with an average age of (51.12±3.12)years old,334 of them were female, accounting for 84.99%,and 184 of them had primary school education, accounting for 46.82%. The average anxiety score was (44.65±6.18)points,and the anxiety rate was 12.98%(51/393). Age(OR=2.068),type of hospital(OR=3.557),marital status(OR=2.510) and monthly rest time(OR=2.537) were the influencing factors of anxiety(all P<0.05). Conclusion The incidence of anxiety among 393 medical nursing staff in Chengdu is relatively high, with older age, lack of fixed rest time, and non-marital status being the main risk factors for anxiety. It is suggested to strengthen the training of psychological professional knowledge, carry out regular mental health assessment and intervention, rationally allocate working time, reduce work intensity, and strengthen care and concern to reduce anxiety.
