Research progress on social isolation of the elderly with chronic diseases

Abstract: :The social isolation is a bad social network state.The deterioration of the health status of the elderly with chronic diseases due to the burden of disease and age aging,as well as the acceleration of the transformation of interpersonal communication mode by epidemic isolation,make their family network and friend network may be seriously impacted. The trend of social isolationfor the elderly with chronic diseases may be more severe. This paper summarizes relevant literature on social isolation of the elderly with chronic diseases both domestically and internationally,introduces the definition and related concepts of social isolation,expounds the present situation and influencing factors of social isolation of the elderly with chronic diseases,and puts forward the management strategies and suggestions of social isolation of the elderly with chronic diseases,aiming at improving the cognition of the elderly with chronic diseases to social isolation and providing theoretical basis for effective prevention of social isolation of the elderly with chronic diseases.
