Relationship between nurses' professional benefit,professional identity and job happiness

Abstract: Objective To investigate the status and correlation of professional benefit,professional identity and work happiness of nurses. Methods A total of 572 nurses in Dafeng People's Hospital of Yancheng City in Jiangsu Province were surveyed by general data questionnaire,nurses' professional benefit questionnaire,nurses' professional identity rating scale and nurses' work happiness scale in January 2022. Results The sense of professional benefit,sense of professional identity and sense of work happiness were scored as (3.88±0.75),(3.60±0.83) and (4.29±1.05)points,respectively. The nurses' professional identity played a mediating role between occupational benefits and job well-being,and the mediating effect(0.340) accounted for 71% of the total effect(1.179). Conclusion The sense of professional benefit,sense of professional identity and sense of well-being at work of nurses in Dafeng People's Hospital of Yancheng City in Jiangsu Province are all in the middle level,and it is suggested that nursing managers and nursing educators strengthen the continuing education of professional identity of nurses,improve the sense of well-being at work of nurses,and promote the stable development of nursing staff.
