Abstract: With 200 million people aged 65 and above by the end of 2021,accounting for 14.2% of the total population,China's population is ageing rapidly. Along with rapid ageing, empty nesting and the miniaturisation of family structures, traditional family-based care cannot meet the needs of society, and social care institutions have become an important part of the elderly care system. As the most direct and crucial caregivers for the elderly, the attitude of caregivers towards the elderly is fundamental to the provision of quality care services to the elderly. By analyzing the current situation and the main factors influencing the attitudes of elderly caregivers towards the elderly, the paper explores the corresponding interventions, summarizes the problems in current research or practice, and provides an outlook on future research directions. The aim is to provide a reference for future research and to build an effective intervention model that is suitable for China's situation,in order to improve the attitudes of elderly caregivers towards the elderly, regulate their care behaviour and improve the quality of elderly care services.
