Current status of research on the correlation between smartphone use and neck pain

Abstract: With the continuous development of the Internet,the number of users of electronic devices,such as desktop computers,tablets,and mobile phones is constantly increasing. While electronic devices bring many conveniences to Internet users,they also bring many negative effects. Domestic and foreign studies have shown that the use of smartphones may have a certain correlation with neck pain. This article mainly reviews the studies related to the complex factors of neck pain,cervical spine biomechanics when using smartphones,and the effect of the duration of use on neck pain,in order to provide reference basis for rational use of smartphones,prevention of neck disorders,and subsequent studies on the association between the use of smartphones and neck disorders.
