Abstract: Objective To investigate the current status of unhelpful beliefs among nurses with occupational low back pain and analyze its factors influencing. Methods A total of 223 nurses in two tertiary hospitals in Hunan Province were selected as research subjects from May to July 2023 by conveience sampling method. A general information questionnaire and a low back pain attitude questionnaire were used to investigate and analyze the data. Results The score of low back pain attitude among 223 nurses with occupational low back pain was(118.89±6.93)points. Whether to seek medical attention, the frequency of weekly exercise, the number of days of sick leave, work intensity, and the duration of low back pain were the influencing factors of unhelpful belief among nurses with occupational low back pain(all P<0.05),which could explain 19.1% of the total variation. Conclusion Totally 223 occupational low back pain nurses generally had high levels of unhelpful beliefs. Nursing managers should strengthen evidence-based education training based on nurses' occupational characteristics and the unhelpful beliefs they hold, and develop targeted interventions to help nurses change their attitudes toward low back pain, reduce the level of unhelpful beliefs, and promote the healthy development of the nursing workforce.
