Methods A convenience sampling method was used to select 508 elderly people from three communities in Hangzhou City from March to June 2023,they were investigated by the general information questionnaire, social health scale for the elderly and attitudes to ageing questionnaire(AAQ),and the data were analyzed. Results The social health score of 508 community elderly people was (60.42±14.13)points,and the score of aging attitude was (72.23±11.31)points. The personal average monthly income, marital status, educational level,self-rated health status, living style, and physical exercise were the influencing factors of social health(all P<0.01). Conclusions The social health of the elderly in the community in Hangzhou City is at a low level, while the aging attitude is at a moderate to high level, and the aging attitude of the elderly significantly affects their social health. The nursing staff in the community should pay attention to the aging attitude of the elderly and guide their positive aging attitude to improve their social health level.
