Analysis on current situation and influencing factors of quality of life of employees in automobile manufacturing industry in Liuzhou City

Abstract: objective To understand the status of quality of life and its possible influencing factors of employees in automobile manufacturing enterprises in Liuzhou,and provide reference for maintaining the physical and mental health of employees. Methods From February to April 2023,a self-designed questionnaire and the medical outcomes study 36-item short from health survey(SF-36)(Chinese version) was used to investigate the quality of life on 1 150 employees in Liuzhou automobile manufacturing enterprises,and the factors affecting the quality of life of employees in automobile manufacturing enterprises in Liuzhou were analyzed. Results The scores of physiological function dimension,physical function dimension and physical pain dimension of employees in Liuzhou automobile manufacturing enterprises were (92.93±13.08),(88.07±25.59) and (94.14±10.83)points,respectively. The scores of overall health dimension,vitality dimension,social function dimension and emotional function dimension were (76.40±17.52),(73.64±16.53),(90.20±14.63) and (88.31±26.34)points,respectively. The mental health dimension score was (73.71±14.83)points,the physical component score(PCS) was (87.88±11.44)points,and the mental component score(MCS) was (81.47±12.92)points. Among them,employees scored the highest in the dimension of physical pain,at (94.14±10.83)points,the vitality dimension scored the lowest,at (73.64±16.53)points. The factors that affected PCS were length of service,employment status,monthly income,education level,and body mass index(BMI),while the factors that affected MCS were length of service,employment status,alcohol consumption,and monthly income. Conclusion The score of physical health is higher than that of mental health of employees in automobile manufacturing in Liuzhou. Therefore,more attention should be paid to the psychological and emotional well-being of employees,and key factors affecting their quality of life should be regulated.
