Investigation on psychological resilience,perceived stress and social support of acupuncturists in tertiary general hospitals in Nanchang City

Abstract: Objective To understand the current situation of psychological resilience,perceived stress and social support among acupuncturists in tertiary general hospitals in Nanchang City,analyze their correlations. Methods From October 2021 to April 2022,113 acupuncture physicians from the rehabilitation department and acupuncture department of four tertiary general hospitals in Nanchang City were selected for the questionnaire investigation,and the data were analyzed. Results Totally 113 acupuncturists scored (50.89±8.39)points of psychological resilience,(44.01±5.09)points of perceived stress,and (37.11±4.42)points of social support,respectively. The psychological resilience of acupuncturists was negatively correlated with perceived stress(r=-0.925,P<0.01),and positively correlated with social support(r=0.959,P<0.01). The perceived stress and social support were the main influencing factors of psychological resilience of acupuncturists(all P<0.01). Conclusions The psychological resilience,perceived stress and social support of acupuncturists in the tertiary general hospitals of Nanchang City are at a moderate level and need to be improved. Actively establishing good social support for acupuncturists and reducing perceived pressure are conducive to improving their psychological resilience level.
