Abstract: The exploration and development of polar regions is an important part of our country's strategy for building a maritime power. As the main implementers, personnel engaged in polar operations play a crucial role. However, the unique natural and social environments of polar regions can significantly impact the psychological state of these workers, which in turn affects their work efficiency. Therefore,it is essential to pay attention to the mental health of operational personnel. This article reviews the psychological characteristics of operators in polar environments and the mechanisms affecting their psychological performance, and subsequently proposes coping strategies to provide a theoretical foundation for the in-depth implementation of psychological support in polar regions,in order to play a positive role in improving the quality and efficiency of scientific research missions.
