Survey on current situation of resilience level of practice nurses in Mianyang City and analysis of related factors

Abstract: Objective To investigate the current status of resilience among practice nurses in Mianyang City and to explore its related factors,in order to provide data reference for the development of management policies for practicing nurses. Methods From June to December 2023,convenience sampling method was used to select 178 practice nurses from two hospitals in Mianyang City as the survey subjects. General information form,medical staff resilience scale,psychological capital scale,and simple coping style scale were used to conduct a current situation survey,and the data were analyzed. Results The resilience score of 178 practice nurses in Mianyang City was (66.58±9.99)points,the decision-making coping dimension score was (20.61±4.96)points,the interpersonal connection dimension score was (15.83±3.08)points,the rational thinking dimension score was (15.96±3.45)points,and the flexible self-adaptation dimension score was (15.17±3.20)points.There were statistically significant differences between the resilience scores among practice nurses of different ages,educational levels,whether they had served as student leaders during their school years,and whether they had received relevant psychological training during their school or internship phases(all P<0.05). There was a correlation between the resilience of practice nurses and their psychological capital,coping styles,and various dimensions(all P<0.05).The educational qualifications,levels of psychological capital and whether or not they had received relevant psychological training in the school or practicum stage were factors that affect the resilience score of practice nurses(R2=0.358,adjusted R2=0.332,F=13.570,P<0.01). Conclusion The resilience level of practice nurses in Mianyang City may be related to their education,whether they have received relevant psychological training,and the level of psychological capital. In the future,school or hospital administrators can provide relevant psychological training for practice nurses in order to promote their resilience level,which will contribute to the individual career development of practice nurses and the stable development of the nursing team.
