Abstract: Objective To analyze the mediating effect of work-family conflict among nurses in the trauma intensive care unit of six grade-A tertiary general hospitals in Urumqi on the relationship between work connectivity behavior after-hour(WCBA) and job burnout, and to provide reference for reducing nurse job burnout. Methods A random sampling method was used to select 192 trauma intensive care nurses from 6 grade-A tertiary general hospitals in Urumqi from April to May 2024 as the research subjects. The WCBA scale,work-family conflict scale, and job burnout scale were used to investigate, and the data were analyzed. Results The WCBA score of trauma intensive care nurses was (44.68±7.36)points,the work-family conflict score was (58.62±12.39)points, and the job burnout score was (63.46±12.28)points. The influencing factors of WCBA,work-family conflict and occupational burnout of trauma intensive care nurses included age, professional title, years of work, average monthly income, number of night shifts per month, and marital status(all P<0.05). The occupational burnout of trauma intensive care nurses was positively correlated with WCBA and work-family conflict(r=0.638,0.575,both P<0.01),WCBA was positively correlated with work-family conflict(r=0.614,P<0.01). Work-family conflict played a partial mediating effect between WCBA and occupational burnout of trauma intensive care nurses, with a mediating effect of 0.261,accounting for 45.31% of the total effect. Conclusion Work-family conflict played a partial mediating role between WCBA and occupational burnout of trauma intensive care nurses. Reducing the level of work-family conflict and WCBA can help reduce the level of occupational burnout of trauma intensive care nurses.
