Abstract: Objective To explore the current status of occupational burnout and self-disclosure among burn plastic surgeons in grade-A tertiary hospitals in Xi'an,and analyze the correlation between the two. Method From June to July 2024,a convenience sampling method was used to select 104 physicians from burn and plastic surgery departments of grade-A tertiary hospitals in Xi'an as the survey subjects. A general information survey,Maslach burnout inventory-human services survey(MBI-HSS),and distress disclosure index(DDI) were used for the survey, and the data were analyzed. Result The total score of occupational burnout among 104 burn plastic surgeons was (55.12±13.08)points,the score of emotional exhaustion dimension was (22.09±10.83)points,the score of dehumanization dimension was (12.09±6.42)points,and the score of low personal achievement dimension was (20.94±10.60)points. The self-disclosure score was (37.17±9.30)points. The total score of occupational burnout, emotional exhaustion, and dehumanization dimensions of burn plastic surgeons were negatively correlated with self-disclosure(r=-0.532, -0.679,-0.433,all P<0.01),and the low personal achievement dimension score was positively correlated with self-disclosure(r=0.300, P<0.01). Conclusion The occupational burnout and self-disclosure scores of burn plastic surgeons in grade-A tertiary hospitals in Xi'an City are at a moderate level and need to be improved. Proactively providing self-disclosure to burn plastic surgeons can effectively reduce occupational burnout.
