Abstract: Objective To understand the current situation of mental health literacy among vocational college students, explore influencing factors, clarify the important influence of mental health status on mental health literacy, and study strategies for improving mental health literacy. Methods In September 2023,a convenient sampling method was used to select 366 vocational college students from a vocational college in Tianjin as the research subjects. The mental health literacy questionnaire(MHLS) and the 12-item general health questionnaire(GHQ-12) were used for questionnaire surveys, and the data were analyzed. Results The total score of mental health literacy among vocational college students was (108.01±11.59)points. There were statistically significant differences in the scores of mental health literacy among vocational college students of different genders and whether they had participated in psychology related courses(both P<0.05). The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that family annual income, gender, and whether they had participated in psychology related courses were the main factors that affected the mental health literacy of vocational college students(all P<0.05). Conclusion The level of mental health literacy among vocational college students is relatively low,and mental health literacy is influenced by many factors. Therefore, systematic intervention strategies and effective approaches should be explored to maintain the mental health of vocational college students based on the above influencing factors.
