Abstract: Objective To establish a method for rapid determination of formaldehyde in wild mushrooms by headspace solid phase microextraction-gas chromatography(HS-SPME-GC). Methods The headspace solid phase microextraction(HS-SPME) was used for the pre-treatment,and gas chromatography-hydrogen flame ion detector(GC-FID) was used for the determination. By comparing different detection methods and optimizing the factors affecting the extraction efficiency such as the extraction fiber coating type, equilibrium time, extraction time, extraction temperature and resolving temperature,a more ideal detection method was obtained. Results Under given conditions, the linear range of the method was 0.01-4.00 mg/kg,the correlation coefficient was 0.998-0.999,the average standard recoveries were 99.6%-109.7%,and the relative standard deviations(RSDs) was 4.78%-8.24%. The formaldehyde was detected in 11 wild mushroom samples, with the concentration range of 0.011-0.293 mg/kg. Conclusion The method is simple in operation, short in time and high in sensitivity, and is suitable for rapid detection of formaldehyde in large quantities of wild mushrooms.
