Abstract: Objective To use network pharmacology methods to explore the potential molecular mechanisms of Weiling Tang in the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),in order to provide new ideas for research. Methods The pharmacological substance basis and targets of Weiling Tang were obtained by using the traditional Chinese medicine system pharmacology database and analysis techniques. On this basis, the common targets of "disease-drug" were input into the database, and a "protein-protein" interaction network was established to achieve a network graph of "drug-active ingredients-common targets-disease" and analyze its topological relationship. And the biological activity screening was conducted on common targets, activity pathway analysis was performed on common targets on the combination of enrichment technology of the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes. Results In the preliminary work,239 effective components of Weiling Tang and 979 targets related to NAFLD have been obtained, and 115 common active ingredient disease targets have been discovered. The previous research found that there is protein kinases closely related to the development of NAFLD. GO enrichment analysis included biological processes such as signaling pathways and intercellular communication. KEGG enrichment analysis mainly involved tumor pathway, lipid and atherosclerosis, cytomegalovirus infection, and Kaposi sarcoma with herpes virus infection. Conclusion Weiling Tang may treat non-alcoholic fatty liver through multiple components, targets, and pathways, providing important basis for in-depth research on related molecular mechanisms.
