Abstract: Objective To prepare Bangia fusco-purpurea polysaccharide from Bangia fusco-purpurea,and establish an evaluation method for Bangia fusco-purpurea polysaccharide tablets. Methods According to previous scientific research achievements and actual production needs,a "comprehensive experiment on the preparation of Bangia fusco-purpurea polysaccharide tablets" was designed. The polysaccharide isolated from Bangia fusco-purpurea was used as the main raw material, the appearance, weight difference, hardness, fragility, and disintegration time of the tablets were used as evaluation indicators. The single-factor and orthogonal experiments were used to optimize the tablet preparation process, and a sugar coating was applied to the Bangia fusco-purpurea polysaccharide tablets to improve their properties. Results The optimal formula for Bangia fusco-purpurea polysaccharide tablets was found to be:microcrystalline cellulose(MCC) 37.25%,corn starch 37.25%,cross-linked sodium carboxymethyl cellulose(CC-Na) 7%,magnesium stearate 0.3%,inulin 8.2%,and Bangia fusco-purpurea polysaccharide 10%. The low-field nuclear magnetic resonance detection showed that sugar coating enhances the stability of the tablets during storage. Conclusion The established evaluation method for Bangia fusco-purpurea polysaccharide tablets has simple experimental conditions and reliable results, which is suitable for the evaluation of Bangia fusco-purpurea polysaccharide tablets.
