Abstract:

Objective To analyze the current research status and development trends on core competencies of nursing interns in China through visualization analysis,to identify the research hotspots and future research directions in this field. Methods From January 2020 to November 2024,the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) was systematically searched for bibliometric analysis to construct a knowledge map including publication volume, keywords, countries of publication, institutions of publication, and authors. Results The research results indicate that from January 2020 to November 2024,the total number of published articles on the core competencies of nursing interns in China was 1 824,showing a year-by-year downward trend. Deyang People's Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, and Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University had produced the most research results in this field, with 42,23,and 21 articles, respectively. High-frequency keywords included "clinical teaching""nursing""effectiveness""teaching methods""operating room""satisfaction""practice""performance""influencing factors" and "education". Research hotspots mainly focused on influencing factors, effectiveness evaluation, and teaching methods. Conclusion From 2020 to 2024,the number of publications on the core competencies of nursing interns in China generally shows a downward trend, with research primarily concentrates on influencing factors, effectiveness evaluation, and teaching methods. Regional and inter-institutional collaboration remain limited. It is recommended to promote multi-departmental and interdisciplinary cooperation across regions and institutions within China's cultural context, establish efficient academic teams, conduct in-depth research to optimize teaching methods for nursing interns, and provide references for advancing core competency studies of clinical nursing interns in China.
