Abstract:

Objective To understand the self-care,humanistic care abilities, and occupational burnout status of intensive care unit(ICU) nurses, and explore the impact of self-care and humanistic care abilities on occupational burnout,in order to provide reference for reducing occupational burnout among ICU nurses. Methods From November to December 2024,a convenience sampling method was used to select 182 ICU nurses from 6 comprehensive hospitals in Urumqi as the survey subjects. The nurse self-care,humanistic care ability, and occupational burnout status of nurses were investigated, and the correlation between self-care,humanistic care ability, and occupational burnout of ICU nurses was analyzed. Results The self-care score of ICU nurses was(84.69±18.54)points,the humanistic care ability score was (188.86±18.64)points,and the occupational burnout score was (63.72±12.36)points. Age,professional title, years of service, average monthly income, and monthly frequency of night shifts were factors influencing ICU nurses' self-care and humanistic care abilities(all P<0.05). Age,professional title, years of service, average monthly income, monthly frequency of night shifts, and marital status were factors influencing ICU nurses' occupational burnout(all P<0.05). There was a negative correlation between self-care and occupational burnout among ICU nurses(r=-0.589,P<0.01),a negative correlation between humanistic care ability and occupational burnout(r=-0.492,P<0.01),and a positive correlation between self-care and humanistic care ability(r=0.446,P<0.01). The combination of self-care and humanistic care abilities could explain 38.50% of the variation in occupational burnout among ICU nurses. Conclusion The self-care and humanistic care abilities of ICU nurses have a negative impact on occupational burnout, and improving their self-care and humanistic care abilities is of great significance in reducing the level of occupational burnout.
