Abstract:

Objective To investigate the current status of workplace spirituality among nurses in military hospitals and to explore the relationship between psychological capital and workplace spirituality,in order to provide a reference basis for the development of interventions to improve workplace spirituality among nurses in military hospitals. Methods From January to February 2024, 246 nurses were selected as study subjects in three military general hospitals in Fujian Province using convenience sampling, the general information questionnaire, workplace spirituality scale, and clinical nurses' psychological capital scale were used for the questionnaire survey, and the data were analyzed. Results The mean score of nurses' workplace spirituality entries was (4.35±0.86)points,the total score of workplace spirituality was (138.75±2.08)points,and the total score of psychological capital was (151.25±4.01)points. The total score of nurses' workplace spirituality was positively correlated with nurses' psychological capital(r=0.673,P<0.01). Age,the degree of conflict between family and work, hope, and the dimensions of hope and collaborative communication in the psychological capital were the influencing factors of nurses' workplace spirituality in military hospitals(all P<0.05). Conclusion Workplace spirituality and psychological capital of nurses in military hospitals are in the upper middle level, and the higher the level of psychological capital, the higher the level of nurses' workplace spirituality. Nursing managers can improve the level of workplace spirituality of nurses in military hospitals and thus improve the quality of nursing care by forming a good working atmosphere and reasonable workload distribution in the department, organizing relevant lectures and trainings, and instructing nurses in military hospitals to adopt reasonable ways of coping.
