Analysis on demand for old-age services and its influencing factors among the elderly with chronic diseasesin Changchun community under normalization of epidemic prevention and control

Abstract: Objective To understand the current situation of the demand for old-age services among the elderly with chronic diseases in the community of Changchun City under the normalization of epidemic prevention and control,and analyze its influencing factors. Methods From April 30 to October 15,2021,481 elderly patients with chronic diseases from 15 communities in Changchun City were selected by convenience sampling method. The general data questionnaire and old-age servicesdemand questionnaire for the elderly with chronic diseaseswere used in the investigation,and the data were analyzed. Results The total score of old-age service demand for the elderly with chronic diseases in Changchun community was (122.154 ±15.025)points,and the average score of items was (3.701±0.455)points. The self-care ability,number of diseases,spouse,age and children were the influencing factors of the demand for old-age services of the elderly with chronic diseases in the community,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05). Conclusion The demand for old-age services of the elderly with chronic diseases in the community of Changchun City under the normalization of epidemic prevention and controlis at the middle to high level,and it is necessary to analyze its influencing factors and give corresponding countermeasures to meet the demand for old-age services among the elderly with chronic diseases in the community.
