Abstract: Objective To understand the incidence of traffic injuries among children aged 3-6 years old in China from 2011 to 2021,provide basis and suggestions for reducing the occurrence of traffic injuries among children. Methods The Chinese and English electronic databases were searched systematically, literatures were screened according to inclusion and exclusion criteria in Endnote, and the quality of the 23 included literatures was evaluated according to the evaluation criteria proposed by LONEY,and meta-analysis was performed using State software. Results 23 literatures included 79 420 subjects, and the combined rate of traffic injuries in children aged 3-6 was 3.39%(95%CI:2.83%-3.95%). The incidence of children's traffic injuries in 2004 edition,1996 edition and other editions was 2.24%,2.55% and 1.50%,respectively,and there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05). The incidence of traffic injuries among children in eastern, central and western regions was 2.88%,3.70% and 3.06%,respectively,and there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05). There was statistically significant difference in incidence of traffic injuries among different vehicle types(P<0.05),and the traffic injury rate of children with motor vehicles(2.34%) was higher than that with non-motor vehicles(0.97%). Conclusions From 2011 to 2021,the incidence of traffic injuries among children aged 3-6 in China shows a decreasing trend. It is necessary to strengthen personnel support and training for injury prevention and control in the central and western regions, improve the road traffic facilities in the central and western regions, strengthen the control of motor vehicles in each region to reduce the traffic injury rate of children.
