Analysis on coping styles of incivility of nursing interns in a junior collegein Zhaoqing City

Abstract: Objective To understand the coping style of incivility of nursing interns in a junior collegein Zhaoqing City,so as to provide reference for the effective intervention of nursing interns. Methods From March to April 2022,563 nursing interns from a junior college in Zhaoqing City were collected by the convenient sampling method,their coping styles of incivility were investigated by using the self-made incivility questionnaire and the simple coping style scale,and the data were analyzed. Results The average score of the incivility of 563 nursing students was (40.62±10.69)points. 23.27% of nursing interns had a high level of incivility,the score of positive coping was (20.83±6.63)points,and the score of negative coping was (7.58±4.33)points. There were no statistically significant differences in the coping styles of incivility among nursing interns of different gender,age,practice hospital division,practice time and number of practice departments(all P>0.05).The difference in the positive copingscore was statistically significant among nursing interns in practice hospital level(P<0.05). The level of practice hospital was the main influencing factor of positive coping style in nursing interns(P<0.05). Conclusion In view of the common incivility of nursing interns in a junior college in Zhaoqing City,it is necessary to pay more attention to the nursing students with low level in the practice hospital,improve the incivility of nursing interns,and promote them to better adapt to clinical nursing work.
