Abstract: Objective To explore the mediating effect of positive coping styles between social support and turnover intentions of nursing students using structural equation modeling. Methods From February to March 2022,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 203 nursing students at two traditional Chinese medicine hospitals of Xi'an City by the general information questionnaire, the turnover intention questionnaire, the social support rating scale, and the simple coping style questionnaire, and the data were analyzed. Results The score of turnover intention, social support and active coping among nursing students in traditional Chinese medicine hospitals was (14.79±2.10),(33.42±6.24) and (20.57±6.16)points,respectively. The social support and active coping were negatively correlated with turnover intention, and the social support was positively correlated with positive coping(all P<0.01). The positive coping partially mediated the relationship between social support and turnover intention. Conclusion The nursing managers and educators should take effective measures to improve nursing students' coping style when facing clinical problems in the studentship stage, improve their social support level, and reduce their turnover intention,so as to stabilize the nursing team and cultivate high-quality reserve talents.
