Study on current situation and countermeasures of occupational stress among pediatric surgeons in Tianjin

Abstract: Objective To understand the occupational stress status and influencing factors of pediatric surgeons,provide a basis for reducing the work pressure faced by pediatric surgeons and protecting their mental health. Methods The in-service pediatric surgeons ingrade-A tertiary hospitals in Tianjin were selected from 2020 to 2021 as the survey objects. The basic situation of individuals,occupational stress,life satisfaction,fatigue accumulation,and influencing factors of occupational stress were obtained through questionnaires,and were analyzed to propose the corresponding countermeasures. Results A total of 97 objects were investigated,the detection rate of occupational stress was 58.76%,the detection rate of low life satisfaction was 30.93%,and the detection rate of fatigue accumulation was 91.75%. The logistic regression analysis showed that age,life satisfaction,and fatigue accumulation were the influencing factors of occupational stress(all P<0.05). Conclusion The occupational tension of pediatric surgeons cannot be ignoredand and effective measures should be taken in time to improve the psychological status of pediatric surgeons in order to better serve children.
