Relationship between innovative behavior and personal-organization fit,workplace spirituality of nurses in tertiary grade-A hospitals in Tianjin

Abstract: Objective To explore the relationship between innovative behavior and personal-organization fit,workplace spirituality of nurses in tertiary grade-A hospitals in Tianjin,analyze the mediating role of workplace spirituality between innovative behavior and personal-organizational fit of nurses,so as to provide reference for formulating intervention measures to promote innovative behavior of nursesin Tianjin. Methods A total of 418 nurses from six tertiary grade-A hospitals in Tianjin were selected as the research objects by convenience sampling method from January to May 2022. The general information questionnaire,nurse innovative behavior scale(NIBS),personal-organizational fit scale(POFS),and workplace spirituality scale(WSS) were used for questionnaire survey. Results The total scores of innovative behavior,personal-organizational fit and workplace spirituality of nurses intertiary grade-A hospitals in Tianjin were (31.86±9.14),(37.21±9.71) and (99.45±24.03)points,respectively. The innovative behavior was positively correlated with personal-organizational fit and workplace spirituality(all P<0.01). The workplace spirituality played a partial mediating role between them,the mediating effect was 25.9%(P<0.01). Conclusions The innovative behavior,personal-organization fit and workplace spirituality of nurses in tertiary grade-A hospitals in Tianjin are at a medium level,and the workplace spirituality played a partial mediating role betweeninnovative behavior and personal-organization fit. It is suggested that nursing managers should pay attention to the influence of workplace spirituality on innovative behavior,and improve nurses' personal-organizational fit and workplace spirituality by creating a harmonious working atmosphere,giving nurses care and encouragement,so as to improve their innovative behavior.
