Analysis on job burnout and its influencing factors of grassroots immunization planners in Guiyang City

Abstract: Objective To investigate the current situation of job burnout among grassroots immunization planners in Guiyang City,explore the influence of individual factors and occupational factors on burnout level. Methods By the census method,all medical workers engaged in immunization planning in community health service centers and township hospitals in Guiyang City were selected as the research subjects,they were investigated by the self-designed questionnaires and job burnout scale,and the data were analyzed. Results The detection rate of job burnout among grassroots immunization planners in Guiyang City was 57.29%.The average daily sleep time[6-7 h group(OR=0.317,95%CI:0.163-0.614),>7-8 h group(OR=0.191,95%CI:0.092-0.398),>8 h group(OR=0.164,95%CI:0.064-0.418)],undertaking work outside of immunization planning(OR=2.231,95%CI:1.501-3.317),suburban(OR=2.006,95%CI:1.283-3.136),having thoughts about leaving(OR=4.371,95%CI:2.904-6.580) and daily work time >8 h(OR=1.741,95%CI:1.164-2.604) were associated with emotional exhaustion(all P<0.05).The suburban(OR=1.741,95%CI:1.164-2.604),thought of leaving(OR=4.023,95%CI:2.784-5.815),average daily sleep time[6-7 h group (OR=0.518,95%CI:0.280-0.961),>7-8 h group(OR=0.366,95%CI:0.187-0.717),>8 h group(OR=0.213,95%CI:0.087-0.524),and daily working hours >8 h(OR=1.706,95%CI:1.163-2.502) were associated with depersonalization(all P<0.05).The public health major(OR=2.497,95%CI:1.163-5.357) and average monthly income ≥5 000 yuan(OR=0.312,95%CI:0.100-0.971) were associated with low personal accomplishment(all P<0.05). Conclusion The prevalence of job burnout among grassroots immunization planners in Guiyang City is high,especially immunization planners in suburban,and it is recommended that grassroots health institutions formulate comprehensive interventions from individual factors and institutional factors to reduce job burnout among grassroots immunization planners.
