Abstract: Objective To comprehensively evaluate the incidence of social weakness in the elderly by meta-analysis,so as to provide reference for the prevention and intervention of social weakness in the elderly. Methods PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wan-fang database and VIP database were searched to collect relevant literature on the incidence of social frailty in the elderly from the inception of the database to February 2022. Stata 15.0 software was used to conduct a meta-analysis of the literature that met the inclusion criteria. Results A total of 18 534 patients were included in 15 studies.Meta-analysis showed that the overall incidence of social weakness in the elderly was 16%(95%CI:13%-19%). The results of subgroup analysis showed that the incidence of social weakness in female elderly(15%) was higher than that in male(11%),the incidence in hospital(21%) was higher than that in community(15%),the incidence of cohort studies(16%) was higher than that of descriptive studies(15%),and the incidence was higher in 2020-2022(19%) than in 2012-2019(13%). Conclusion The incidence ofsocial weakness in the elderly is high, and the early screening and effective and scientific intervention measures should be taken to reduce the incidence of social weakness in the elderly.
