Correlation analysis on person-job matching,psychological security and professional identity of part-time medical staff in infection control

Abstract: Objective To investigate the status of personal-work matching,psychological safety and professional identity of infection control medical staff in grade-A tertiary hospitals in Sichuan Province and analyze their correlation. Methods By the random cluster sampling method,the current situation investigation was performed by the personal-job matching scale,the psychological security scale,and the professional identity scalefrom June to July 2022. The demographic data questionnaire was used to collect general information. The hierarchical regression analysis was used to explore the influence of personal-work matching and psychological security on professional identity. Results The personal-work matching,psychological safety and professional identity of infection control medical staff in grade-A tertiary hospitals in Sichuan Province was (100.17±17.95)points,the psychological safety score was (51.43±13.86)points,and the professional identity score was (99.12±24.51)points. The univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in the scores of personal-job matching and engagement among infection control part-time medical staff with different gender,education level,marital status,professional title,voluntary to part-time infection control work,and participation in the treatment of public health emergencies(all P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences in the score of psychological safety among infection control part-time medical staff with different gender,education level,marital status,nature of work,professional title,working years of part-time medical infection control,voluntary to part-time infection control work,and participation in public health emergency treatment(all P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences in the professional identity scoreamong infection control part-time medical staff with different gender,education level,marital status,nature of work,professional title,working years of part-time medical infection control,voluntary to part-time infection control work,and participation in public health emergency treatment(all P<0.05). The results of correlation analysis showed that the scores ofpersonal-work matching of part-time medical staff in infection control ingrade-A tertiary hospitals were positively correlated with the scores of and psychological security on professional identity(P<0.05),and the scores of psychological safety were positively correlated with the scores of professional identity(P<0.05). The hierarchical regression analysis showed that person-job matching and psychological safety were independent factors of professional identity of part-time medical staff in hospital infection control,which could independently explain 47.5% of the total variation of professional identity. Conclusion The professional identity of infection control medical staff in grade-A tertiary hospitals is at a medium level,which is affected by many factors,among which personal-job matching and psychological security are important influencing factors,so the hospital managers should take targeted intervention strategies to improve the professional identity of infection control medical staff according to the influencing factors.
